WEConnect International is happy to announce that Andrea Lizarzaburu has joined the Washington, DC team as Regional Director of Latin America and the Caribbean. In her new role, Andrea will be responsible for managing all initiatives and engagements in the region to support women’s entrepreneurship and connectivity to markets.
WEConnect International recognizes the tremendous value and potential of women-owned businesses in this region and offers certification in Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Jamaica, and Peru. Women outside these countries also have the opportunity to self-register and utilize WEConnect International’s eNetwork of more than 6,000 women business owners and corporate members.
An Ecuadorian native, Andrea has worked supporting entrepreneurs and SMEs owners in Latin American and the Caribbean from different platforms. She has experience working for the private and public sectors, and for international and non-government organizations. holds a bachelor in Economics and International Relations from Universidad San Francisco de Quito and an Interdisciplinary Master’s in Development Studies from the Graduate Institute of Development and International Studies in Geneva.
