Yolanda Ford

Yolanda Ford is the Director of Project Management at WEConnect International. With over two decades of experience in project management, municipal government, and public policy, Yolanda expertly manages and maximizes WEConnect International’s portfolio of projects. She specializes in overseeing large-scale initiatives that align with and enhance the organization’s strategic goals.

Prior to joining WEConnect International, Yolanda served as the Mayor of Missouri City, Texas. In this role, she managed a substantial municipal budget and championed sustainable urban policies for a diverse, midsize community. Her leadership was distinguished by significant achievements in public safety, economic development, and community services, earning her recognition for effective governance and policy implementation.

Yolanda holds a Master of Architecture from Prairie View A&M University and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Houston. Her professional journey includes serving as a Senior Project Manager for the City of Houston Parks Department, where she directed land acquisitions, managed 37,000 acres of parkland inventory, and oversaw a $40 million fund aimed at enhancing urban parks and recreational facilities. Additionally, she worked as a Land Development Consultant with Horton-Rowe, advising on planned communities and development projects across the USA.

Her expertise extends to establishing Project Management Offices (PMOs) and driving strategic planning initiatives that align with organizational goals. Yolanda’s robust skill set in budget management, stakeholder engagement, project management, and team leadership ensure that projects under her direction not only meet but exceed expectations, fostering growth and innovation within WEConnect International.

Beyond her professional role, Yolanda is actively involved in community development, contributing to various boards and organizations, demonstrating her commitment to impactful leadership and community service. She was named one of the Top 30 Influential Women of Houston and has received numerous awards and honors from Congress, businesses, and organizations.
