Volunteer, Global – Virtual
WEConnect International is a global network that connects women-owned businesses to qualified buyers around the world to help drive money into the hands of women business owners by enabling them to compete in the global marketplace. We connect member buyers to women-owned sellers globally, enhance their capabilities to transact business, and instill confidence that sellers meet buyers’ standards for women-owned businesses.
We are seeking candidates for our Board of Directors who align with our vision of a world in which women have the same opportunities as men to design and implement business solutions that create wealth and the sustainable prosperity of their communities.
Positions include Philanthropists and Leaders of Foundations, Procurement/Supply Chain Executives, Women Owners of Large Global Companies, and ESG and Sustainability experts. WEConnect International is also looking for professionals with relevant technical expertise such as: nonprofit experts, accountants, attorneys, economists, and information technology professionals.
Board of Director’s responsibilities include Development and Fundraising, Governance, and Oversight. Board members are expected to attend 4 board meetings per year (three virtual and one in person) and actively participate in at least one Committee.
Contractor – Remote (Contractor must be based in Bangladesh)
The Supplier Diversity Project Manager for WEConnect International is responsible for managing donor-funded project activities from a grant from the U.S Department of State to WEConnect International. The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for managing all aspects of the project in Bangladesh, including creating and overseeing annual budgets and workplans. The Project Manager oversees all operational related aspects of the project/s while managing deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring the progress of the project against key performance indicators – ensuring project deliverables are completed on time and within budget. This position requires an individual to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring all parties are kept informed of changes or updates to project deliverables and timelines. This position requires an individual who is committed to excellence, is entrepreneurial in spirit and has a strong business acumen.
Contractor – Remote (Japan)
WEConnect International helps drive money into the hands of women business owners around the world by enabling them to compete in the global marketplace. Our buyers are large organizations committed to global Supplier Diversity and Inclusion that help build sustainable communities by sourcing from women-owned businesses around the globe.
The Contractor will serve as the market lead for Japan. A market lead is expected to represent and advance WEConnect International’s presence in a market(s)/region and act as the liaison with women-owned businesses and key stakeholders such as members, local corporations, business support organizations, government agencies and other organizations, groups, or individuals, to promote and enable more business opportunities for women-owned companies.
Contractor – Remote (Monterrey NL, Mexico)
WEConnect International helps drive money into the hands of women business owners around the world by enabling them to compete in the global marketplace. Our buyers are large organizations committed to global Supplier Diversity and Inclusion that help build sustainable communities by sourcing from women-owned businesses around the globe. The Events and Public Relations Contractor is responsible for the execution of public relations activities and events coordination. Develop ongoing communications such as press releases and supporting multimedia assets. Develop and maintain relationships with key media sources, local stakeholders, and key women-owned business in the North area of Mexico (Sonora, Nuevo Leon, Chihuahua, Coahuila, Baja California Norte) ensuring goals are being met. Work with the regional director in developing opportunities and strategies.
