How long have you been in business and why did you start?

Greenlite’s mission began in 1994 with our commitment to supply energy efficient lighting alternatives to the mainstream. Since then, Greenlite has become a prime manufacturer of residential energy efficiency products for utility programs across North America. We have been an ENERGY STAR Partner since inception and are a 2018 + 2019 ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year. We are a leader amongst the few companies worldwide to promote only energy-efficient products. No ifs, ands or buts, we walk the walk and talk the talk!

What’s your go-to Elevator Pitch?

Greenlite Lighting Corporation USA (Greenlite) is a prime manufacturer of ENERGY STAR® LED bulbs and fixtures and energy efficient products including Smart Home Products for the North American market. Greenlite has been an ENERGY STAR® Partner since inception in 1994.

Which geographical areas do you service?

USA and Canada.

How long has your organization been certified with WEConnect International?

We have been certified with WEConnect International in Canada since 2018.

What are the benefits of this network and of certification?

Certification with WEConnect International has helped to open doors with new customers and sales channels. Greenlite’s President and CEO has been featured on a number of conference panels across the USA on the topic of women in business and how Greenlite has found that WEConnect Certification is a competitive advantage in today’s business environment.

What 3 tips do you have for women entrepreneurs?

• Transparency and ethical business practices are paramount.
• Share your experiences; Your successes and failures should be shared with your peers as we can all learn a lot from each other.
• Gender should not play a role in business. Be a strong business person, regardless of gender, and together we can create an even playing field.

Any big plans or announcements you’d like to share?

Yes! We just launched our ENERGY STAR Smart Thermostat and have seen unbelievable sales results.
