Global management consultancy Hay Group has appointed Man Bites Dog to manage its six figure European PR brief.
The retainer programme, which covers 25 European countries, will include retained public relations, international co-ordination and thought leadership across the region. As one of the consultancy’s founding clients, Man Bites Dog has worked with Hay Group for more than six years, managing both UK retained PR and thought leadership, as well as a range of global projects.
The appointment, following a five-way competitive pitch, will see Man Bites Dog take responsibility for directing Hay Group’s media outreach and European PR activities, as well as delivering thought leadership campaigns and a best practice programme to support the organisation’s regional teams.
Hayley Brooksbank, Head of European Marketing, said: “Man Bites Dog really impressed us at the pitch with their creativity and enthusiasm. “They presented a very well thought out plan of how to deal with our issues, and we know the quality of their service and delivery from our UK work with them, so it was a very easy decision to make.”
Claire Mason, Managing Director of Man Bites Dog, said: “This win means a lot to us and it’s an honour to expand upon the work that we’re already doing for Hay Group. Hay Group are one of our founding clients and to be handed the reins to their European work, in addition to the UK and global projects that we’re already involved with, is a huge endorsement of our work and testament to the growth we’ve achieved over the last six years. International work is an increasing part of our portfolio and we look forward to developing and co-ordinating high-level international campaigns in partnership with the Hay Group team.”
The announcement comes hot on the trail of Man Bites Dog’s inclusion in The Holmes Report’s 2011 European Consultancy Report Card, which has once again identified Man Bites Dog as one of Europe’s leading PR consultancies.
