Fortune 200 healthcare company Abbott Laboratories has appointed Cheshire-based business, Gemini International, as one of only three agencies in their new Meetings and Events Network, supporting the delivery of their international events programme for the next three years. Gemini International are a WEConnect International certified women-owned business.

Abbott Laboratories is a broad-based healthcare company that discovers, develops, manufactures and markets products and services that span the continuum of care – from prevention and diagnosis to treatment and cure.

The appointment follows a competitive procurement process which took place over four months, including a presentation at the Abbott Established Pharmaceutical Division Headquarters in Basel, Switzerland.

Commenting on the appointment, Christine Kelly, Managing Director of Gemini, said: “We began working with Abbott EPD two years ago following a referral to their events team in Basel. Since then our relationship has gone from strength to strength, working on a number of strategically important events in Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
