WOMEN’S CONFERENCE PROMOTES BUSINESS LEADERSHIP THROUGH INNOVATION AND TECHNOLOGY

Thanks to the invaluable support from corporate sponsors, including ABSA, Accenture, Citi, Cummins, EY, ExxonMobil, Hilton, IBM, Ingersoll Rand, Intel, Johnson & Johnson, Monsanto, and P&G, WEConnect International in South Africa held its most successful annual conference to-date on June 1st, 2018. Hosted by EY in Sandton for the third consecutive year, the event delivered a fast-paced and unforgettable day of exciting presentations, innovative demonstrations, and discussion.

The agenda included a stellar line-up of technology and innovation expert presenters, panel discussions, inspiring women-business owner success stories, and feedback sessions that kept the audience of over 163 attendees, including corporations and women business owners, fully engaged for the day.

In attendance were WEConnect International’s COO Greta Schettler, WEConnect International in South Africa Advisory Council corporate members, government representatives from the Gauteng Department of Economic Development, and non-profit organizations such as the South African Supplier Diversity Council (SASDC) and the Junior Achievement South Africa (JASA), who participated in a one-minute pitch competition for their young female entrepreneurs.
