WEConnect International Launches State-of-the-Art Academy for Women Business Owners

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Washington, D.C., March 13, 2021 – WEConnect International, a leading global non-profit for women’s economic empowerment, today announced the launch of the new WEConnect Academy.

The Academy is an online training and learning portal built to provide a comprehensive resource for women business owners (WOBs) within our global WEConnect International network. With over 30 modules and 34 hours of capacity-building curriculum, WEConnect Academy is designed to equip and empower WOBs to increase their business impact and drive money into their hands.

“We are thrilled to launch the WEConnect Academy and offer our network of WOBs the resources they need to succeed,” said Elizabeth A. Vazquez, CEO, and Co-Founder of WEConnect International. “We are dedicated to driving money into the hands of women business owners and our Academy will provide them with the knowledge, skills, and support they need to do just that.”

The Academy currently has a curriculum in English, Spanish, and Portuguese which features a variety of learning topics and sets the foundation for which will ramp up and grow engagement within our WOB and Member Buyer communities.

“This enhanced version of the Academy will be even more user-friendly and allow for training to be more self-selected. It will also provide greater access to activity reporting and will incorporate our virtual delivery programs,” said Vazquez.

In 2022, WEConnect Academy has trained 11,487 WOBs and reached 26+ countries. Feedback from WOBs has been overwhelmingly positive, with 99% rating it as relevant to their needs and 97% noting the new learning or skill they acquired.
