At less than four years old, Buzz Export Services was named the Woman-Owned Business of the Year by Delta at their annual Supplier Diversity Star Awards Recognition Luncheon. Founded in October 2012, Buzz Export Services, CEO Victoria Beneragama quickly ramped up the marketing firm’s services from consulting for clients in the travel industry to providing networking services for them as well.
“We saw the opportunity to not only serve our clients by enhancing the traveling consumers’ experience, by building an evolving network within the industry, with Brand Partners and airline clients,” said CEO Victoria Beneragama.
Karmetria Burton at Delta Air Lines, Inc., immediately saw the value of Buzz Export Services’ relationship with its Brand Partners as a value-add to the quality service that Buzz Export provides.
“Buzz Export Services represented the quality and innovation we look for in our supplier partners,” said Karmetria. “Delta supports doing business with WBEs and ensures that our procurement practices are inclusive.”
Victoria’s drive to grow her business led her to obtain the first certification of WEConnect International in Australia in her first year of business– 2013. Believing that WEConnect International’s extensive corporate network would give her firm access to new markets, namely the U.S. travel industry, she was introduced to the organization’s local market lead Anne Tesch.
As Ms. Beneragama puts it, with Anne it felt “like a true partnership, with her championing [the] business, facilitating introductions within other regions to potential clients, contacts and supply partners.”
Having achieved their goal to enter the U.S. market, Buzz Export Services is now looking to expand their presence beyond airline travel. The firm is planning to offer “holistic solutions and innovations” to the entire experience of traveling on board with their partners.
In 2017, Buzz Export Services was nominated for the WEConnect International award for Fastest Growing Business.
