Hetal Parikh: Growing a Global Business Through Innovation, Inclusion, and the Power of WEConnect International

When Hetal Parikh co-founded Rangam in 1995, she had a bold vision: to connect people to jobs and revolutionize how mental health is managed in schools, homes, and workplaces. Nearly three decades later, Rangam, a certified women-owned business based in Somerset, New Jersey, has grown into a leader in total talent management with a mission to accelerate meaningful employment for everyone.

What sets Rangam apart is its unwavering commitment to promoting sustainable and inclusive talent programs. The company has expanded across North America, Europe, and Asia, focusing on inclusive hiring practices through innovative programs like SourceAbled, which creates job opportunities for autistic, neurodivergent, and disabled individuals, and TalentArbor, a sourcing platform designed to help organizations meet their diversity and inclusion goals.

However, Rangam’s growth into new markets truly accelerated when they tapped into the power of the WEConnect International global network, a move that opened doors to new opportunities and partnerships.

The Power of Access
For Rangam, the power of WEConnect International has been clear.

“WEConnect International has been instrumental in Rangam’s recent growth,” Parikh explains. Certification opened doors to new markets, including India, the UK, EMEA, and Canada. Through WEConnect International events, Rangam gained access to major global enterprises and deepened relationships with key partners like Kelly Services and Johnson & Johnson.

“These connections have given us visibility and trust with major corporations,” says Parikh. “They’ve helped us expand our services internationally.”

Resilience Through Challenges
Rangam’s success didn’t come without obstacles. One of the key hurdles the company had to overcome was the general stigma attached to the staffing industry. “Staffing agencies often face negative perceptions related to reputation and trust,” Parikh explains. “We’ve had to work hard to differentiate ourselves and demonstrate our commitment to delivering high-quality, inclusive talent solutions.”

Another major challenge has been addressing the lack of disability inclusion in the workforce. “Historically, individuals with disabilities have faced significant barriers to employment and have been underrepresented in workplaces,” Parikh notes. Rangam took this issue head-on, launching SourceAbled and partnering with advocacy organizations, to break down barriers and promote the value of hiring diverse talent.

Gender bias has also been a cultural hurdle. As a women-owned business, Rangam is deeply committed to promoting gender equity both within the company and across their client organizations. “At Rangam, over 70% of our leadership and operational roles are filled by women,” Parikh proudly shares. Through mentorship programs, advocacy, and networking opportunities, Rangam has not only worked to elevate women within its own ranks but has also encouraged clients to take meaningful steps toward gender equity, particularly in STEM careers.

By tackling these industry and cultural challenges head-on, Rangam has solidified its position as a leader in the workforce solutions industry and continues to drive positive change for both organizations and individuals.

What’s Next for Rangam
Looking ahead, Rangam’s focus is on leveraging existing partnerships to expand their holistic talent solutions globally. “We aim to become a high-performing, diverse supplier with global impact,” says Parikh.

They’re also focused on launching more innovative solutions like TalentArbor, which will continue to help clients meet their diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) goals while attracting top talent. Additionally, Parikh sees enormous potential in expanding their SourceAbled program, which has already made significant strides in promoting disability hiring across industries.

With the momentum gained from WEConnect International, Hetal Parikh and Rangam are set to continue their global expansion while driving positive change through innovative workforce solutions.
