Maksudur Rahman

Since September 2024, Maksudur Rahman has served as the Market Lead for Bangladesh. A distinguished international development professional, he brings over 30 years of expertise in agribusiness, market systems development, and SME promotion. Holding an engineering degree, an MBA, and a master’s in development studies, he is deeply committed to fostering entrepreneurship development.

Throughout his career, he has held significant leadership positions in esteemed international organizations. His roles have included Economic Development Advisor at World Vision and Plan International Bangladesh, Country Director at Land O’Lakes Venture37 and Winrock International, and Program Officer at the Embassy of Switzerland.

Maksud is a skilled leader with a proven track record of managing diverse teams and fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and strategic focus. Known for his ability to set clear objectives, make informed decisions, and guide teams to achieve successful project outcomes, he brings extensive expertise in managing donor-funded programs. His experience includes overseeing projects funded by USAID, SDC, UKAID, and corporate donors, demonstrating his capacity to deliver impactful results in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
