Ixchel Alcantara is the Regional Director for Latin America and the Caribbean for WEConnect International. A Mexican Native, Ixchel has worked developing strategic partnerships across Latin America for Fortune 500 companies and SMEs spanning a wide variety of industries.
Prior to joining WEConnect International, Ixchel worked for American Express where she held various leadership assignments. Those assignments included digital transformation, new product launch, business development, data driven solutions, B2B consultation, marketing, and brand management. They spanned in more than twelve countries in LATAM across her eleven years in the company.
Before Amex, she spent three years at Liverpool in the retail industry developing strategic partnerships with top consumer brands and spent four years at two supply chain giants: UPS Freight Services and Expeditors International supporting the expansion of logistic projects in three regions.
Ixchel holds a bachelor’s degree in international business from Instituto Technologic de Monterrey. She is an MBA candidate in Digital Transformation from IEBS Spain. She holds several certifications in business and marketing from Duke, Rutgers, Northwestern universities, and several others. During her undergraduate years she supported two nonprofit organizations that provide occupational therapy for kids with special needs and after school activities for girls in extreme poverty.
Her passion is to build creative partnerships that empower women. entrepreneurs and support the development of emergent economies.
