MONSANTO BRINGS ON THREE NEW WOMEN-OWNED SUPPLIERS FROM SOUTH AFRICA

WEConnect International would like to congratulate Red Box Marketing, Ann Baret Coaching, and Elixir Coffee Pty Ltd (T/A The Coffee Co) for winning new business with Monsanto!

WEConnect International corporate member Monsanto continues to expand its inclusive sourcing efforts in South Africa by working with WEConnect International to identify new, women-owned suppliers in their supply chain. After attending the 2017 WEConnect International in South Africa Annual Conference in Johannesburg, the Monsanto team successfully identified three new, potential women-owned businesses in the WEConnect International network. After the initial introductions were made at the conference, the three suppliers were officially brought on in 2018.

Imeldah Motsisi, CEO of Elixir Coffee, was impressed with the reach of the network after being introduced to WEConnect International at the conference. After immediately self-registering her business through WEConnect International, Elixir Coffee officially received the Women’s Business Enterprise Certification in October of 2018. “WEConnect International certification is certainly opening doors and giving me direct access to corporates,” says Imeldah. “Generally it is not easy to get time or an audience with procurement professionals.”  Along with Box Marketing and Ann Baret Coaching, Elixir Coffee has seen an increase in revenue growth since winning new business with Monsanto.
