WEConnect International corporate member Intel hosted a conference dedicated to women owned businesses in Dublin on 6th March on the occasion of International Women’s Day 2014.
Intel has long been a champion of entrepreneurs as catalysts for economic growth. In keeping with this philosophy, the company is dedicated to building an innovative and diverse supply chain. This event served as the launch of a new Intel initiative to develop diversity in the supply chain and give individuals the skills to compete.
The theme of the conference was ‘How to do Business with a Multinational’ and featured keynote remarks by Laura Tenison of Jojo Maman Bébé, Joan O’Shaughnessy of ARAMARK, and Grainne D’Arcy and Megan Stowe of Intel.
Participants also had the opportunity to meet representatives from Intel, Merck Pharmaceuticals, Ulster Bank, Enterprise Ireland and WEConnect International.
The event was open to businesses operating in public relations, media, events, marketing, human resources, legal and catering. About 80 women business owners attended the event.
