This event, which is hosted by the U.S. Embassy in Pakistan and the U.S.-Pakistan Women’s Council, will raise awareness of the Women’s Business Opportunity Initiative, a movement to catalyze inclusive and competitive supply chains in Pakistan. In addition, the event will highlight efforts that buyers and women business owners can take to accelerate supplier diversity in Pakistan, including a celebration of the launch of training workshops for buyer representatives and women business owners, offered by U.S.-Pakistan Women’s Council member, WEConnect International.
Participants will also hear insights gathered through recent research initiatives assembled by WEConnect International in collaboration with the Lahore University for Management Sciences, the Chartered Institute for Procurement and Supply and the USPWC.
Speakers will include U.S. Charge d’Affaires Angela Aggelar and the CEO and Co-Founder of WEConnect International, Elizabeth A. Vazquez as well as leaders in the business community.

The event will bring together approximately 100 individuals, including WEConnect International workshop participants (approximately 40 buyer representatives and 25 women business owners), members of the USPWC, and other relevant buyer representatives, women business owners, representatives of chambers of commerce and industry groups, and embassy and state department officials.
