Know Who you Hire through Social Media | March 25, 2025, 1-2pm ET | Virtual

Expected Learnings:
Attendees will leave the webinar with a better understanding of 1) why it’s important to know who you are hiring, 2) the percentage of job candidates that lie on their resume, 3) how much it costs to replace an employee and 4) why employers should be cautious conducting their own social media checks.

Speaker:
Marty Britton is the President & CEO of Britton Management Profile Inc., (BMP) the first ever reference checking company in Canada, incorporated in 1974.

Marty is an ambassador for the background checking industry. She took over the company from her father, the late David Britton over 30 years ago when the only service the company offered at that time was executive reference checking. BMP has recently celebrated it’s 50th year in business. Over the decades, Marty has since added a wide range of pre-employment screening services to the list of product offerings including criminal, credit, employment, education checks, global sanctions, exit interviews and more recently social media and identity verifications.

BMP is an active board member of the Professional Background Screeners Association (PBSA). BMP is also a diverse supplier and is a certified business with WEConnect International. Marty is also a proud member of Women’s President Organization, a peer-to-peer advisory committee in which she is actively involved.

Marty has recently released a book titled, Screening for the One, How to Gain an Edge in your Hiring. This book offers a structured approach to identifying top talent and helping clients avoid costly hiring mistakes. This results in a productive and cohesive workforce.
