WECONNECT INTERNATIONAL IN TURKEY HOSTS THIRD CONFERENCE

December 2018 – Istanbul. More than 100 attendees participated in the annual WEConnect International in Turkey conference on December 11, 2018. Corporations, such as lead sponsors, Accenture, Marriott International, EY, World Bank/IFC, IBM, BKM, TEB and Action Coach, and more than 40 high potential women-owned businesses from across Turkey came together to discuss business opportunities through matchmaking and networking, as well as to learn how corporations are working towards more inclusive sourcing practices.

A pitch competition was the highlight of the day, with Derya Türkkorkmaz winning the top prize for her company Winnerinno.

In addition, a corporate-only roundtable was held in the morning for more in-depth sharing of best practices in supplier diversity and inclusion, facilitated by WEConnect International’s Director of Corporate Relations, Michael Tobolski.
