WEConnect is delighted to announce the appointment of our new Executive Director, Caroline Roberts.
Caroline comes directly from the UK Commission for Employment and Skills as Head of Relicensing and previously Sector Integration Consultant within the Sector Skills Development Agency.
Formerly Chief Executive of Ttento, a membership organisation creating training opportunities for the travel industry, Caroline grew the organisation out of incubator stage, built the team and grew the income significantly. She also built the services/offer of the organisation to sell to large corporates as well as small organisations. During this period she worked with a consortium of businesses to improve their access to procurement opportunities some of whom were run by women.
Caroline brings a real passion for diversity in its widest sense and opportunity for all. She believes this role plays to her key skills and aspirations and is very enthusiastic about the opportunity it presents both to her and businesses.
Caroline starts on Monday 27th October and is looking forward to meeting all those attending the WEConnect Conference Get Connected 08 on the 31st October hosted by Merrill Lynch in London.
Erika Watson, Executive Director of Prowess and responsible for incubating WEConnect says “Caroline’s appointment is set to establish WEConnect as the natural home for all women business owners who’re serious about growth and all Corporates who are serious about innovation”.
Victoria Hardie, Supplier Diversity Manager EMEA, Citi & WEConnect Corporate Advisory Board Chair added, “I am confident that Caroline will build on the solid foundations laid and lead WEConnect into the next stage of evolution to become a dynamic organisation, connecting talent to contracts. I am delighted that Caroline is on board and look forward to working closely with her to deliver on our shared mission”.
