WEBINAR #1: GETTING INTO THE P&G SUPPLY CHAIN

SOUTH AFRICA, May 15, 2020 — Attendees learned about P&G’s business and procurement needs and how P&G evaluates suppliers in  Webinar #1 of the Business Development Program by WEConnect International and Procter & Gamble.  The webinar provided insights into how to prepare for and succeed in entering the supply chain of a major global corporation. Presented by Laylah Kara and Natalie Musgrave from Procter & Gamble Procurement team in South Africa, the two covered the basics of purchasing and how to enter the P&G supply chain, with real-world examples. They offered great advice and guidance on issues such as optimising procurement; the necessity for and nature of basic contracts; and whether COVID-19 circumstances constitute a Force Majeure situation.
