After years of experience in a family-run promotional products company, Annalise Law left to search for new business opportunities. One came from an unexpected source: the very industry she had left. Despite having “no intention of going back into the promotional products industry,” Ms. Law unexpectedly began to receive calls from former clients asking when she was going to return.
Thus, the Kanga Group (TKG) was born in 2005 to serve those very clients’ promotional needs. TKG now supplies to 23 countries around the world, and has become a leading promotional product company in Australia that focuses on diversity and sustainable sourcing.
When she learned about WEConnect International, Ms. Law knew that TKG could benefit by sharing experiences with other women-owned businesses and networking with other corporations who also value supplier diversity and sustainable sourcing.
While attending a WEConnect International event, TKG was able to meet with the Head of Procurement for Accenture Australia and New Zealand. Accenture soon offered TKG the opportunity to be a part of their future promotional merchandise agency. Ms. Law attributes that connection to WEConnect International, saying it gave TKG “a foot in the door.”
Ms. Law is looking forward to the new opportunities offered by Accenture and other existing corporate partnerships and the new connections made through WEConnect International.
