Richard Wong

Richard is the Market Lead for Greater China, he focuses his effort in developing membership and outreach in the region. Richard is well suitable for this role because he speaks English, Chinese, Cantonese and Hokkien. Richard had many years of procurement experience in the Shenzhen and Shanghai areas. He is familiar with the Chinese business culture and the dynamics of Chinese business relationships. He is also a certified trainer; he has keen interest to enhance and developing our women business owners through Meet the Member meetings and knowledge sharing seminars.

Richard became a team player with the WEConnect International global team since 2020, he has experience in certification assessment, organizing and facilitating various events for our members.

Previously, Richard had worked for a number of global companies in procurement and supply chain management. In the course of his works, Richard has developed the skills in cost management and strategic planning for negotiation.

Richard graduated with an honors degree in electronics and software engineering from the University of Birmingham in UK. To further his knowledge in finance, Richard had completed his MBA in Finance from the Nanyang Business School in Singapore. The financial training gave him a good handle in financial analysis. Richard also like to invest his time in charting and technical analysis on stocks movements but his professional passion is to develop a dynamic WECommunity in Greater China.
