May 21, 2014 – Luz Maria de la Mora, Director of WEConnect International in Mexico, attended a dinner offered by the Mexican Foreign Ministry to U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry. The dinner was attended by approximately 30 representatives from the public and private sectors, including corporations such as Bimbo,
ExxonMobil, and Grupo Modelo.
De la Mora had the opportunity to explain to Secretary Kerry and U.S. Ambassador in Mexico Anthony Wayne the work that WEConnect International is doing in Mexico and thank them for the support provided by the U.S. Department of State.
During the working session focused on integration in North America, she said: “The WEConnect International program is an example of the kind of policy we must seek to establish in North America. Women entrepreneurs in Mexico and the region can be a competitive factor to promote the integration of the region.” She also took the opportunity to highlight the work of WE
Connect International in MUSEIC and told the group that women are having a great impact on the work of the seven sub-committees.
