Farida Gibbs, the CEO of Gibbs S3, an IT Staffing, Business Change & Project Solutions business, was among the winners of the Asian Women of Achievement Awards this week.
Farida was honoured with The Entrepreneur Award as the CEO and founder of her company, named as “Europe’s fastest-growing IT staffing and consulting business.”
“The winners have all shown courage, intelligence and determination to succeed in their chosen fields and will certainly help to inspire the next generation of ambitious women keen to make their mark in the professional, business or cultural sectors,” said Chris Sullivan of RBS, the Asian Women of Achievement Awards’ main supporter.
The Asian Women of Achievement Awards is designed to celebrate “the often unsung Asian heroines of British life. Such women make a huge contribution in fields as diverse as business, entrepreneurship and social and humanitarian work. These awards, are their moment in the spotlight,” the organisers say.
This comes after Farida has received the Enterprising Women of the Year Award for 2012 by Enterprising Women magazine earlier this year.
In the past she was also listed among Recruitment International’s Top 250 Report, Winners of Fast Growth Business Awards 2011, and finalist for the Precious Awards 2011. Farida is on the Board for City Women’s Network and is an appointed Ambassador of WEConnect International.
