Meet the Member is a business development activity for WEConnect International certified women-owned businesses to meet buying teams to discuss upcoming procurement needs in their supply chain. Each event begins with a presentation by the buyer team where attendees will learn about how to do business with the corporation and hear details of their supplier diversity program. Following the presentation, the attendees will have the opportunity to pitch their products and services to become better known to the buyers and to build relationships. Many certified WBEs have leveraged Meet the Member activities to deepen their connections with corporate buyers and some nice successes have been shared. We encourage all women-owned businesses to apply for a space in this very popular activity and specifically businesses in the following categories:

• Textile, garments, linen
• Furniture
• Lighting
• Food Manufacturers (I.e.: Pasta, Pastries, Specialty Food, Seafood, Meat, Diary)
• Equipment Rental Services
• Floor Cleaning Equipment
• Smallwares

• Services related to the accommodations industry
