Equality = Innovation: Driving Opportunities for Women-Owned Businesses in the Netherlands

ONLINE, June 15, 2020 — The WEConnect International team in Europe was excited to collaborate with Accenture to present this virtual event for women-owned businesses in the Netherlands. The event was aimed at majority women-owned businesses operating in the corporate and B2B sectors. This afternoon session focused on opportunities for women-owned businesses in the Netherlands in a COVID-19 ‘world.’

Accenture wants to create a more inclusive digital world. They work with several membership organisations, including WEConnect International, to unlock opportunities for diverse businesses around the world. During the virtual event, Accenture and Dow shared more detail about their inclusive sourcing programmes, best practices and success stories.

Following that, WEConnect International certified women’s business enterprises in the Netherlands had the opportunity to present a short pitch of their business to the group. Participants selected from a choice of breakout sessions – focused on business opportunities and supplier diversity – led by Accenture, Dow and Randstad. Lastly, WEConnect International discussed all of the support offered to women-owned businesses via certification.
