Tara Clinton

Tara Clinton is the Global Wells and Geoscience Procurement Manager for ExxonMobil.  In this position, she has global oversight responsibilities for a team supporting drilling (Rigs, Materials, Services) and Geoscience/Exploration activity (Seismic Acquisition, Processing, and Licensing).

Prior to this position, Tara was the Area Procurement Manager for ExxonMobil activities in Guyana.  In this position, she had oversight responsibilities for Purchase to Pay activities including Contracting, Buying, Materials Management, Inbound Logistics, Warehousing and Payables.  A key component of her responsibilities involved development of local suppliers and engagement with the Local Content Secretariate in development and implementation of Guyana’s Local Content legislation.

Tara has a passion for supporting and developing diverse suppliers and has been involved in multiple organizations throughout her career.  She joined the Board of Women’s Business Enterprise Alliance in 2015, participating in multiple conferences and gatherings to support women entrepreneurs.  In Guyana, she was a coach/mentor in a local program (AccelerateHer) to further develop women owned businesses.  She was previously involved in Houston Minority Supplier Diversity Council as a committee member and volunteer.

A native of Texas and Ohio, she graduated from Texas A&M University with a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Distribution in the College of Engineering.  She also holds a Masters of Business Administration degree.

Tara joined ExxonMobil in 2003 supporting Engineering, Procurement, Construction (EPC) contract negotiations for multiple ExxonMobil Development projects.  Since then, she has held a variety of advisory and managerial positions in support of ExxonMobil Upstream Operations.

Tara lives in Houston TX with her husband and her daughter.
