Anna Kompanek is a consultant with WEConnect International, bringing more than two decades of experience working with businesses, business organizations, and private sector leaders around the world to strengthen markets, build partnerships, and expand economic opportunity.
Throughout her career, Anna has led cross-functional teams, delivering scalable solutions across more than 80 countries engaging a network of over 1,000 chambers of commerce, business associations, and other private sector organizations. She has helped organizations develop stronger member services, build sustainable partnerships, advocate for more conducive business environments, and create opportunities for companies of all sizes – including women-owned businesses – to connect with markets and decision makers.
Prior to joining WEConnect International, Anna was a long-time Director of Global Programs at the Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE), where she led a diverse portfolio of global initiatives focused on private sector development, business organizations, governance, and economic reform. She has also advised the International Chamber of Commerce on initiatives designed to strengthen institutional partnerships to boost the capacity and social impact of chambers globally and serves as a Program Advisor to the Oxford Analytica Foundation.
Anna is passionate about leveraging the power of business networks to create opportunities across borders. She brings a global perspective and a strong belief in the value of connecting businesses with their peers, commercial relationships, resources, and market opportunities they need to grow.
A certified Project Management Professional (PMP), Anna holds an MBA from George Mason University’s Costello College of Business, an M.A. in German and European Studies with a concentration in International Business Diplomacy from Georgetown University’s Walsh School of Foreign Service, and a B.A. in International Studies from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
