NEW STUDY LAUNCHED: CREATING OPPORTUNITIES – STRENGTHENING THE ECOSYSTEM FOR WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS IN MEXICO

On December 2, 2014, Value for Women, along with the Banorte Foundation and the Aspen Network of Development Entrepreneurs (ANDE) launched the exploratory study “Creating Opportunities: Strengthening the Ecosystem for Women Entrepreneurs” at the Museum of Memory and Tolerance in Mexico City, with over 100 attendees.  Rebecca Fries, Director of Value for Women, presented findings from the study followed by a panel on “Investment in Women-led Small and Medium Enterprises: Why and How to do it.”  The panel included experts from the Multilateral Investment Fund, The Mexican National Institute for Women, CREA Mexico and WEConnect International.

The study analyses what women entrepreneurs need to be successful in Mexico.  Funded by Banorte Foundation and ANDE, the study was carried out by Value for Women with academic advisory support from the IPADE Business School in Mexico.
