Melissa Adams

Melissa Adams is a seasoned executive, currently responsible for leading global supplier diversity with UPS.  In this role, she is responsible for leading the company’s supplier diversity strategies for growing small and diverse spend, as well as overseeing its implementation across all business units. She is also responsible for developing the UPS supplier sustainability strategy.

Throughout her career, Melissa has been a champion for diversity and inclusion. She has played a pivotal role in developing and implementing successful programming and helping to create economic opportunities for small and diverse businesses. In addition, Melissa has proudly served as a transformational leader dedicated to team building, employee development, and exceptional results.

Prior to her current role, Melissa was the Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer and has been with UPS since 2019.  Prior to joining UPS, she held senior leadership positions where she led the development and implementation of successful programs. Melissa was a Senior Program Director with GuideWell Source and has also served in the roles of Senior Manager of Charitable Giving for Southeastern Grocer and Manager of Digital Engagement with Florida Blue.  Melissa began her career as an Analyst with Accenture.

Presently, Melissa is a board of directors’ member for Girls, Inc. of Greater Atlanta and The Homecoming Challenge and is a member of The Links, Incorporated, Atlanta (GA) Chapter, Leadership Jacksonville, and Leadership Florida.

Melissa holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with concentrations in Finance and International Business from Clark Atlanta University and has completed the McKinsey & Company’s, Black Leadership Academy.  Melissa is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Organizational Leadership at the University of Alabama and has completed advanced coursework in supply chain management, supplier diversity, and contract management. She also holds a professional certification of Post-Crisis Leadership.

In her spare time, Melissa enjoys traveling, volunteering in her community, and mentoring young professionals. She is committed to making a positive impact in the world and helping others achieve their full potential.
