United Kingdom
Europe Executive Director for WEConnect International

Maggie Berry

I love my job, I love working with our amazing corporate members who are really pushing the boundaries around supply chain inclusion here in Europe. And I’m inspired everyday by the fabulous women-owned businesses that we work with!”

Maggie Berry is the Executive Director for WEConnect International in Europe and has worked with the organisation since December 2012. She has lead responsibility for the management, leadership and development of WEConnect International in Europe. Her role involves developing corporate and public sector support as well as growing and developing the database and network of more than 1,500 registered and certified women business owners across the UK and Europe.

Previously, Maggie was the Managing Director of Women in Technology, an online job board, recruitment and networking forum for women working in the technology profession in the UK. She was involved with Women in Technology’s inception in the autumn of 2004 and managed all aspects of the website and the organisation’s networking activities. She continues to run the Women in Technology Network on an informal basis in her spare time and she is a Freeman at the Information Technologists’ Company in the City of London.

With a background in technology recruitment within the financial services, she spent four years as a recruiter with McGregor Boyall Associates. Before this, she worked for NatWest as a Graduate Banking Manager, providing financial advice to finalyear university students and graduates. She graduated from the University of East Anglia in 1997.

Maggie’s personal driver and focus is to increase the number of women who are succeeding and achieving in their business lives – whether they’re working in the corporate world or running their own business, are in the early stages of their career or are seasoned professionals. She does this one a daytoday basis at WEConnect International and in her spare time everywhere else!

In June 2019, Maggie was awarded an OBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List in recognition of her service to women in business and technology.
