SuperSeva Services Pvt. Ltd. is a WEConnect International Certified Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE) based in Bengaluru, India. Chief Executive Officer Kumud Sharma founded the company in 2000 and has, throughout the years, expanded her business services with WEConnect International corporate member IBM. More recently, SuperSeva won new business with fellow corporate member Wells Fargo!
What inspired you to start your business?
We started to notice gaps in corporate sourcing and observed that corporations were looking for support services that would help them concentrate on their core business. Although SuperSeva services started as a concierge service provider, we quickly realized that corporations were looking for a wider arrange of services including staffing and compliance management. As a result, SuperSeva Services Pvt. Ltd. was established nearly two decades ago to fill that gap!
How did your connection with IBM and Wells Fargo begin?
Many multinational corporations like IBM are very dedicated to sourcing from diverse suppliers like WEConnect International Certified Women’s Business Enterprises (WBEs). Although our company was already the concierge partner for IBM, our certification really paved the way to expand the range of services we offered. Since becoming a Certified WBE in 2008, SuperSeva now handles IBM’s front offices, manages its transportation, mailroom, asset management, workplace security, and parking.
More recently, we were connected to Wells Fargo through WEConnect International and received an inquiry from their procurement team in September of 2017. After we responded with a proposal, we met with their team to discuss our strengths and delivery capabilities. Throughout the next year, we were diligent in meeting with their procurement teams, completed an IT evaluation, and went through a full compliance check. While the whole process took some time, we eventually got the agreement signed and officially started services in January of this year!
Who or what inspires you?
The needs of my customers. I love delivering unique solutions and turning people’s dreams into reality. It's so motivating!
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
Your solution must be aligned with the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of your customers. For example, if the buyer has a 10% cost savings target, you have to be ready with an innovative solution that can deliver a cost savings advantage. Like many services SuperSeva offers, we are continuously automating to add value to our customers and increase their bottom line.
What positive impact do you (or your business) strive to make in your community?
SuperSeva values its employees and helps support education for their children. Additionally, our team participates in local community services through Rotary Group and supports MAPSAS, a local organization that works to revive and rejuvenate lakes through environmental maintenance.
