Congratulations to WEConnect International certified women's business enterprises Localize and Olen Cosmetics -- listed among SheEO's Top 25 Canadian Ventures of 2016!
Alberta-based Localize brings food provenance to your local grocery store through transparent product labelling, sourcing tools for grocers, and verification of sustainability claims across millions of products. Earlier this year, WEConnect International in Canada partner organization AWE featured Localize founder Meghan Dear as part of their online Spotlight series.
Manitoba-based Olen Cosmetics manufactures natural hair and skin care products that keep children and babies safe from chemicals and harmful ingredients. Their products are made "Safe for you, Safe for your children." Founder Majda Ficko was named WBE of the Year at the 2015 Power the Economy Conference and has been featured as a WEConnect International success story. Earlier this year, she launched her new sunscreen.

(November 30, 3016) Executive Director of WEConnect International in Canada Astrid Pregel was inducted into the WBE Hall of Fame on the evening of November 29 during a ceremony in Dallas. The event was sponsored by WEConnect International corporate member Pepsico and the Rush Group.
The WBE Hall of Fame is a nonprofit organization launched in 2009 to recognize the contributions of women entrepreneurs in their communities, as well as their accomplishments within their industries. Through a network of women’s business development organizations, corporate and government advocates and women-owned enterprises, the WBEHF spotlights best practices and insights as women create businesses that help build a stronger economy.
