Date: Tuesday 9th October 2018
Timings: 10am to 4.30pm
Location: IBM Frankfurt Sossenheim, Wilhelm-Fay-Straße 32, 65936 Frankfurt-Sossenheim, Germany
On Tuesday 9th October, IBM, a WEConnect International corporate member, is hosting a roundtable discussion on the topic of supplier diversity and inclusive supply chains. The event is open to any corporation that is interested in understanding how they can increase the diversity in their supply base.
In the morning, IBM will share an insight into their global supplier diversity programme with a specific focus on their work in Europe and their session will also include ‘the what’, ‘the how’ and ‘the why not’ of supplier diversity. WEConnect International and VdU, their certification partner in Germany, will present about their work with both corporations and women-owned businesses. There will also be a Q&A discussion focussed on sharing best practices for supplier diversity and the practical actions and steps corporations can take to increase opportunities for diverse suppliers in the corporate supply chain. This will be an excellent opportunity to meet, connect and share experiences with others corporations in Germany.
In the afternoon, after a networking lunch, there will be the chance to hear informal pitches from a small group of women-owned businesses in Germany (these pitches may be delivered in a mix of German and English) and there will be the opportunity to participate in roundtable discussions with the women-owned businesses and other corporations. The final part of the event will be a panel discussion and the day will close at 4.30pm with optional networking and an informal drinks reception.
The event is free to attend but places need to be booked online here.
