BPW conference 2016"Empowering Women through Business, Diversity and Cultural Equality” was the theme of the 2016 Business & Professional Women (BPW) Asia Pacific Conference held on April 9-10, that gave focus to the Women Empowerment Principals (WEPs) Professional women from around the Australasian region attended this popular conference hosted by Auckland, New Zealand.

The event addressed vital issues for the region and Anne Tesch on behalf of WEConnect International contributed to a panel discussion concerning how the participation of MSMEs can be fostered in regional and global markets. Key to their success is opportunity to gain market access to global supply chains.

WinP conference 2016WEConnect International was a Supporting Partner of the 2016 Women in Procurement conference. Held in Melbourne, Australia, on March 21-23, 2016, the conference gave focus to the latest trends from some of the best Australian practitioners in procurement and supply chain management.

It also was an opportunity to share the goals and ambitions of WEConnect International with an audience of predominantly women in corporate procurement positions. WEConnect participation included representation by Executive Director Australasia, Anne Tesch, on one of the panel discussions as well as a branding opportunity at the event and in the program, and a blog entry - "Are your women-owned suppliers at least 51% women-controlled?" - on the website.
