Two new award recipients were announced today for WEConnect International’s 10th Anniversary Gala on April 1st in Washington, DC. In addition to the annual Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE) of the Year Award, WEConnect International will also introduce the inaugural WECatalyze Award to honor the bipartisan Women’s Entrepreneurship and Economic Empowerment (WEEE) Act that aims to empower women entrepreneurs in developing countries to overcome gender-related barriers to economic growth.
Today, WEConnect International held a corporate roundtable entitled “The Gold Standard of Global Supplier Diversity” at the American Chamber of Commerce in Singapore. The event was attended by procurement representatives from 12 corporations and one government entity.
